Hello!

Jeanette Belle headshot

I am a historian, maker, astrologer, and tarot consultant working at the crossroads of craft, story, symbolism, and personal meaning.

Through sewing and journal making, I create useful, beautiful objects from fabric, paper, thread, and found materials. My work often gives new life to overlooked or discarded pieces, transforming them into bags, journals, and handmade artifacts meant to be used, carried, written in, and enjoyed.

My astrology and tarot practice grows from the same love of pattern and story. I offer thoughtful consultations that help clients understand cycles, choices, and turning points through a grounded, historically informed approach. Rather than offering simple predictions, I use astrology and tarot as tools for reflection, clarity, and deeper conversation.

Whether I am stitching cloth, binding pages, studying a birth chart, or reading the cards, my work is guided by curiosity, craftsmanship, and the belief that meaningful objects and symbols can help us better understand the lives we are creating.

Astrology and Tarot Consultations

Astrology and tarot offer ways of understanding timing, patterns, possibilities, and the choices before us. My consultations are thoughtful, practical, and grounded in careful interpretation rather than vague prediction. Each reading is designed to provide clarity, context, and a deeper understanding of the question or season of life you are navigating.

I offer birth chart readings for those seeking insight into their natural strengths, recurring patterns, relationships, and life direction. Transit readings explore the planetary cycles currently shaping your circumstances and help identify periods of change, challenge, opportunity, and growth.

Electional astrology helps you choose a supportive date and time for an important beginning, such as launching a business, holding an event, signing an agreement, or beginning a personal undertaking. Horary astrology addresses a specific and clearly defined question by examining a chart cast for the moment the question is asked.

For focused guidance, I also offer one-question tarot readings. These readings provide a concise but meaningful exploration of a particular situation, decision, or concern.

Whether we are studying a birth chart, examining current transits, selecting an auspicious moment, answering a horary question, or consulting the tarot, my purpose is to help you see the pattern more clearly—and make your next choice with greater awareness.

Transits describe the ongoing movement of the planets through the zodiac and the ways those movements interact with your birth chart. A transit reading compares the current planetary patterns with your natal chart to explore the themes, opportunities, challenges, and turning points unfolding in your life.

This reading can help you understand why certain areas of life may feel especially supportive and full of momentum—or why you may be moving through a more demanding or uncertain season. By seeing the larger patterns at work, you can approach the present with greater clarity, perspective, and confidence.

I am certified by astrologer Chris Brennan to offer electional astrology readings. Electional astrology is used to identify the most supportive date and time for beginning an important event within a particular timeframe.

These readings may be helpful when planning a wedding, opening a business, purchasing a home, relocating, launching a project, or marking another significant beginning. While no date can guarantee a perfect outcome, a carefully chosen election can help you begin under more favorable conditions.

An electional reading considers the strengths and challenges of the available dates, highlighting potential areas of ease, support, delay, or concern. The goal is to help you choose a time that is as constructive and well suited to your plans as possible.

As a horary astrology practitioner, I have trained with both the School of Traditional Astrology and astrologer Chris Brennan. Horary astrology is used to explore a specific, clearly defined question by interpreting a chart created for the moment the question is asked.

Questions might include, “Is this the best offer for my house?” “Should I change jobs now or wait?” or “Is this the right time to move forward with this decision?” A horary reading can reveal the circumstances surrounding the question, possible obstacles, and the direction in which the situation is likely to develop.

Because I am not a medical professional, I do not accept questions concerning health, medical conditions, diagnosis, treatment, or pregnancy.

I am a member of NCGR and certified by them as a Level 1 Astrologer. I am also a member of OPA (the Organization of Professional Astrologers), and ISAR.

Tarot can be used alongside astrology to add another layer of insight to a chart reading, or it can stand alone as a focused tool for exploring one or two specific questions.

Although tarot is not a substitute for counseling or psychological care, it can help reveal what may be hidden beneath the surface—underlying patterns, unspoken concerns, and possibilities that are not immediately obvious. My readings are intended to offer clarity, perspective, and a deeper understanding of the situation before you.

Sewing and Textile Work

My sewing work begins with a love of useful objects, beautiful fabric, and materials with a past. I create handmade bags, pouches, wallets, and other textile pieces using both new and upcycled fabrics, including upholstery remnants and carefully chosen vintage materials.

Each piece is made individually, with attention to structure, function, and the character of the fabric itself. Because many of the materials are reclaimed or available only in small quantities, each item has its own personality and is often one of a kind.

These pieces are designed to be used and enjoyed—carried to the market, tucked into a larger bag, filled with art supplies, or simply kept nearby because they are beautiful. Handmade objects should earn their place in your life, preferably without behaving like museum artifacts.

Handmade Journals and Paper Arts

My journals are created from paper, fabric, thread, ink, and gathered ephemera. Some are simple and practical, while others are richly layered with pockets, tags, decorative pages, found images, and unexpected details.

I make altered composition books, small handmade journals, themed journals, interactive books, and junk journals designed for writing, sketching, collecting, planning, or creative play. Many include reclaimed and vintage-inspired materials, giving each journal a sense of history before the first word is written.

No two journals are exactly alike. Each one is made slowly and thoughtfully, with room for the person who receives it to add their own stories, notes, memories, and marks. A journal does not need to begin as a blank object. Sometimes it is more inviting when it already feels as though it has been waiting for you.
